Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is typically the day that everyone takes a moment to think about what they are thankful for in their lives. Well, I've been working on taking a moment each day to think of someone or something that I'm thankful for. I like taking that moment and really focusing on something positive. It makes me feel good. The challenge is on Facebook and is 30 Days of Thankful so I have a few more days left (rest of November).
I haven't been good about keeping up on the blog and I hope to do better. The kids have been doing good with school work, Corey's work has been very busy, and I've had a few meetings with clients & other doulas. My knee has been feeling fine since the cortisone injection. Alex participated in another fencing tournament and Morgan is still loving dance.
Today we had Thanksgiving dinner with family in Tullahoma. There was 21 of us plus 2 babies (and another on the way). Great time, great food, lots of love. It just doesn't get better than that. Near the end of our visit all the adults put their names into a bowl so we could draw names for our Christmas exchange. I just love having a lot of family to celebrate the holidays, dance recitals and more with.
Corey has been on vacation this week, so the kids and I have taken a break as well. We've gotten in good amount of family time. The weather has been gray, chilly & dreary but I think it has helped us all just stay home, stay inside and hang out together. While he's been off we've been discussing various ways to make our house work better for us (floor plan sucks for our family). Current thought we are considering is moving our bedroom downstairs (to the converted garage that we've used as his office/catch all) and using the master bedroom as a guest room. He still gets to work from home a few days a week and is hoping to get that bumped back to working from home unless there is a specific meeting he's required to attend in the office. Either way, we will keep office space downstairs w/our bedroom ... if we move it. We shall see what happens. He has work all next week plus is on call and then he'll have a couple weeks off in December. Woot!
